Crimson Heat All Stars was established during the Spring of 2001 by Veronica W. Burton (Bishop McNamara High School and Maryland Cheer Magic); Angie Huggins and April Taylor (Dunbar Senior High School); James Veney (Stuart Hobson Junior High School) and Jaime Williams (Winston Educational Center and Eastern Senior High School).
Each coach hand-selected cheerleaders from their individual programs and formed a "pilot" team to sample the all star market. The coaches then selected a local competition and scheduled six practices over a two week period of time. The team was a big hit! They were awarded first place and grand champion during the competition - remarkable results for such a short period of time.
After such a tremendous success, the coaches worked together to formally establish the program. Starting small with only one team of 25 members (Inferno - Large Senior) - the coaches worked diligently and aggressively to effectively market the program and establish it as one of Maryland's finest. The program realized significant success in it's first year - capturing a host of local and regional titles.
During the Summer of 2002, the program secured it's own practice facility - appropriately named the FIREHOUSE. Since that time, The FIREHOUSE has been the home for over 300 athletes from more than 35 public and private schools throughout the Washington Metropolitan area. To GOD be ALL the GLORY!
