Heat Rocks at America's Best Regionals
The CHAS Family made its' season debut on Saturday, December 15, 2007. Six of the CHAS teams competed in the America's Best Regional Championship which was held at Showplace Arena in Upper Marlboro, MD. All six teams won their divisions including the Tiny Level 1(EMBERS), Mini Level 1(SPARKS), Senior Level 1(BLAZE), Youth Level 2(SMOKE), Junior Level 3(FLAME) and Senior Level 4(FIRE). CHAS received the top 5 highest scores of the day for the entire event. We are extremely proud of all of our athletes and we congratulate them on such a wonderful season opener.
FLAME and FIRE JAM in Jamfest Nationals
CHAS FLAME and FIRE traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada to compete in the Jamfest National Championship which was held December 7-9, 2007. CHAS Flame was successful in securing the National Championship Title in the Large Junior Level 3 Division as well as Most Entertaining Squad over all of the teams competing in the two-day event. FIRE was successful in securing the National Championship Title in the Large Senior Open Level 4 Division and was awarded the overall GRAND CHAMPION for the entire event. In addition, our Parents were awarded the Spirit Award for most spirited fans and one of our Moms and one of our dads won the Parent Dance Off. Congratulations to all for a GREAT season opener.

Maryland State Champions - Six Times Over!
On Saturday, January 5, 2008, Crimson Heat All Stars competed in the Maryland State Championships which were held at the First Mariner Arena in Baltimore, Maryland. The event was sponsored by the Coastal Corporation. Teams from across the state battled in over 20 divisions for the State title and the coveted and newly re-designed Maryland State Cheerleading Champion jacket. CHAS took six teams to the event and all six teams walked away with the title. Embers, Sparks, Smoke, Flame, Blaze and Fire were all awarded the State Champion Title and received a State Champion jacket.
In addition to winning their respective divisions, CHAS walked away with the level 1, 2, 3 and 4 divisional awards; the Mini Level 1 age divisional award; and the Most Spirited Fans in the State Award. Congratulations to the entire CHAS family for a great day of success.
Heat Scores HIGH Points at American CheerPower Open Championship
The CHAS family competed on Saturday, January 12, 2008 in the American CheerPower Open Championship which was held at the Showplace Arena in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Six of the CHAS teams competed in the event. CHAS Embers, Sparks, Smoke and Blaze were successful in capturing the championship titles and banners in the Tiny 1, Mini 1, Youth 2 and Senior 1A Divisions. Sparks and Smoke were awarded the HighPoint Champions of the entire Mini and Youth Divisions. CHAS Flame was awarded Third Place in the Junior 3 Division and Fire was awarded Second Place in the Senior 4 Division. Fire also received the Best Choreography Award. We are very proud of all of our athletes and we look forward to their continued success. Congratulations CHAS!
Heat Crowned Champions of the Boardwalk at Spirit Unlimited All Star Nationals....
On Saturday, February 9, 2008, the Crimson Heat family traveled to Atlantic City, New Jersey to compete in the Spirit Unlimited "Crowning of Champions" Battle on the Boardwalk National Championship. Teams from across the East Coast battled for the National Crowns and the coveted Final Destination Bids. 5 of the CHAS teams were Crowned National Champions (Embers, Sparks, Smoke, Flame and Blaze), 5 of the CHAS Teams (Embers, Sparks, Smoke, Flame and Fire) recieved bids to Final Destination. We are SUPER proud of our athletes. Keep up the GREAT work. Heat Rocks!!!
Crimson Heat BLAZE Leaves UMBC in a DAZE
Crimson Heat Blaze competed in the Spirit Unlimited All Star GRAND competition on Sunday,
March 16, 2008. The event was held at the University of Maryland Baltimore Campus. CHAS Blaze went there to battle for a bid for Final Destination and walked away with not only a 1st Place Bid, but also a Grand Champion Banner and a full paid bid for the event. Their performance was so great, the judges scored them only 3.5 from a perfect score. We are REALLY proud of these students and we salute their hard work. Congratulations Crimson Heat BLAZE!
COA Ultimate National Champions - 5 Times Over!
Crimson Heat traveled to Orlando, Florida over the Easter Weekend to compete in the Cheerleaders of America "Ultimate National Championship". The three day event, was held at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, Florida. Teams from across the country and the world traveled to compete in this pretigious event. Each of the CHAS teams battled for the National Title and the coveted suede leather jacket. From our Tiny level 1 team Embers, to our Senior Open Level 4 Team Fire; our children battled with the best and we are extremely excited with the outcome of their performances. The CHAS family was able to secure 5 National Titles in the Tiny Level 1, Mini Level 1, Senior Open Level 1, Large Junior Level 3 and Large Senior Open Level 4 divisions. In addition, the program received the overall Grand Champion awards for the Level 1 and Level 4 divisions. This was GREAT success for the CHAS program. A special thanks to all of the wonderful parents, family and friends who traveled to support our children. Congratulations to the entire Heat Family for such tremendous success.
Rise and Shine with CHAS Summer Camp 08-09!
Crimson Heat will be hosting full day summer camp this year. Weekly sessions are available on a first come, first served basis. Each session will include daily devotion, gymnastics instruction, field trips, arts and crafts, empowerment seminars, cheer instruction, dance workshops and so much more. Hurry, spots are limited!
